Cheshire at 647 South Avenue, Rochester, New York.

This is my favourite cocktail bar in Rochester. I came at this place as someone who didn't know a thing about mixed drinks.

+Friendly Bartenders
I am new to the cocktail world and the bartenders there are confident of their recommendations. Even jokingly saying "If you don't like this, it's on the house". As I became more familiar with the drinks I was grateful this same hospitality was extended to family members and friends I have also drank here with.

+Atmosphere
People I have gone here have always said something positive about the aesthetic and feel of Cheshire, often making comments about the candles or speakeasy feel of it.

+Upstairs from a Wine Bar (Solera)
While one could argue this is a con rather than a pro, I enjoy that you have the option to go downstairs to have specialty wines. The environment of Solera is complimentary to Cheshire so going upstairs gives it a rather cool feel rather than something awkward.

+Consistently Priced Cocktails (as of August 2017)
I enjoy that everything is $10. It's a reasonable and it makes the math easy.

-Availability
While one could argue this exclusivity is part of the appeal of Cheshire, I dislike that they are only open 4 days a week.
